David Beckham was reportedly “absolutely furious” with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle amid their acrimonious dispute, sources claim.

The former England captain is said to have been incensed after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex pointed fingers at him and Victoria for allegedly leaking stories about them to the media.

The row has resurfaced in the headlines as Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz were spotted dining with Harry and Meghan in Montecito, California, amidst the furore surrounding Brooklyn’s absence from his father’s 50th birthday celebrations.

Reports suggest that David and Victoria, both 51, were unaware of Brooklyn and Nicola’s dinner with Harry and Meghan, despite previously being close friends.

The Beckhams had even made the cut for the Royal wedding guest list in 2018.

Relations soured following Harry and Meghan’s move to California, and notably, the pair were conspicuously absent from Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding in 2022.

David is still riled up over the accusations, according to reports. A source disclosed to Mail Online: “Brooklyn knows how hurt David and Victoria were when Harry and Meghan accused them of briefing stories about them. David, who is very mild mannered, was absolutely furious.”, reports the Mirror.

Victoria reportedly shared her coveted little black book of favourite hairdressers and stylists in London with Meghan, further details of which were later revealed in the press, leading to a dispute among the four.

An insider added: “Victoria was especially good to Meghan in the beginning and it all got thrown back in her face.”

However, Brooklyn, a 26 year old model, is believed to have formed a bond with Prince Harry at Wednesday’s dinner.

Harry is said to have offered Brooklyn his “unwavering support” amidst the fallout with his own family.

The event wasn’t just for the two couples, as around 20 of Harry’s friends were also invited.

“I am reliably informed [it was] a much larger gathering hosted by Brian Robbins, 61, the CEO of television giant Paramount and Nickelodeon, and his wife Tracy, 49, who are neighbours of Harry and Meghan in Montecito,” reports showbusiness editor Katie Hind for the Daily Mail.

“Far from an intimate occasion, there were more than 20 people at the party, held at the Robbins’ vast, $17 million, six-bedroom villa, complete with its 4,500 bottle wine cellar and 88ft swimming pool.”

This might offer little solace to Victoria and David, who is currently featuring in the football chat show Beckham and Friends Live on Paramount+.

The fervent royalist, known for his 12-hour queue to pay respects to the Queen as she lay in state, has kept a distance from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following the dispute.

However, he continues to maintain strong ties with Prince William and King Charles.

In June of the previous year, the ex-Manchester United player had a touching meeting with the monarch at the Highgrove Estate in Gloucestershire, where they found common ground – their shared affection for bees.
