Yle, the Finnish national broadcaster, has confirmed that Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2026 will take place on February 28.
UMK 2026 will take place on February 28 in Nokia Arena in Tampere. This is the third year in a row that UMK will take place in Nokia Arena. This also means that Finland is the first country to confirm their participation in Eurovision 2026.
Maiju Viiki, Project Manager of the Experience Economy at the City of Tampere, said:
“UMK plays a significant role in the Finnish music scene. We are very happy to have the contest in our city again, as the city will invest in the development of the conditions for the local music industry in the coming years.”
Erika Vikman is representing Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with “Ich komme” and will perform at the 13th place of the Grand Final of Eurovision 2025!
