  6. 1/ We all know which 2 dissented

    2/ If I’m reading this right (and its very possible I’m not), then this is a big hand up to the immigrant group. Basically saying try again in the fifth circuit and if you don’t like that outcome then come to us.

    3/ For anyone who’s getting their hopes *too* high, this isn’t them saying that deporting people using the Alien Enemies Act is unconstitutional (like this article title is hinting).

There are some interesting points to be seen, SC is highly responsible for enabling the corruption and lawlessness, but them being people and seemingly having some limits to their behaviour makes the institution partially resilient vs. the more practical filth that musk and trumps idiocy constitute.

    There is some value to having systems that rely on people mixed with systems that depend on bureaucracy.

With how much Trump has defied court orders like this over reaching power….one thinks what would’ve happened a couple years ago when Biden was handed a loss on the student loan thing and just ordered them forgiven anyways. The Republicans would be calling for his head. But here we are with Trump probably going to defy this order and both sides seemingly are just quiet because they’re scared. Spineless fucking cowards.

  28. I don’t think Trump cares about SCOTUS or any judicial anything at this point.

    He’s got immunity to everything he does.

    He can pardon any federal offender.

    There’s nothing that any federal court can do. This is why everybody threw a fit at the SCOTUS decision that unmoored the Executive from the Judicial.

    The best you can hope for is a Congressional stop. Maybe. If Trump doesn’t order the army to just remove them from the process.

    See the difference between Biden and Trump. Biden loves America. Trump loves Trump.
