Thanks to the humanitarian lottery game Sretni Broj (Lucky Number), players of the Croatian Lottery have once again shown their big hearts by enabling a generous donation to improve healthcare services. This year’s donation is intended for the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Dubrovnik General Hospital, and the funds will be used to purchase medical equipment that will significantly enhance the quality of treatment and care for patients in the region.
The Sretni Broj game took place in three cycles from February 28 to May 1, and all proceeds from ticket sales were directed toward this donation.
“For the Croatian Lottery, social responsibility is not just an obligation—it’s an essential part of our identity. We are especially proud of the Sretni Broj game, which proves each year just how much we can achieve together for the betterment of our community. We thank all the players who participated—your support made this donation possible and directly contributed to the health of women in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County,” said Ignacije Čutura, President of the Management Board of the Croatian Lottery.
Representatives of the Dubrovnik General Hospital—including Director Assoc. Prof. Prim. Dr. Sc. Marijo Bekić, MD; Head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, Dr. Zoran Tešanović, MD; and nurse Ana Mikulandra, BScN—expressed their gratitude for the donation, noting that it will have a meaningful and long-term impact on their department’s operations.
“On behalf of our patients and staff at Dubrovnik General Hospital, I thank the Croatian Lottery for responding positively to our appeal and organising this commendable public initiative,” said Hospital Director Marijo Bekić.
The Croatian Lottery continues to invest in the community, particularly in projects that improve quality of life and health across Croatia.
