Princess Beatrice has had a busy, fashion-filled week this week. On May 13, she attended a fundraiser in red Rebecca Vallance, and just two days later, stepped out again on May 15 wearing a brand loved by both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
Beatrice wore a black belted, blazer-style Self-Portrait dress to the FEVO Sports Industry Awards 2025 in London last night, pairing the look with a mini Aspinal of London bag and slingback Atana heels. Beatrice’s Self-Portrait ensemble—a re-wear—featured silk lapels and a sheer, flowy crepe skirt, per Hello!.

Like on Tuesday night, Beatrice attended Thursday’s event without husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who was likely home with their newborn daughter Athena, born in January. The couple also share daughter Sienna and son Wolfie, Edo’s son from a previous relationship.
The FEVO Sports Industry Awards recognizes work across the sports sector, and the look Beatrice chose was one she also wore back in 2022 to a much more somber occasion—her grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s vigil at Westminster Hall following the 96-year-old’s death on September 8 of that year.

Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie has also shown an affinity for Self-Portrait, as has the Princess of Wales, who wore the label just last week to a concert commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day on May 8. In fact, according to Tatler, Kate and Beatrice’s dresses are actually the exact same dress, though Kate’s version was in white.
Like Beatrice, Kate’s wearing of the dress this month was also a re-wear; the future queen wore the ensemble for the first time in 2021, when she attended a reception for her “Hold Still” photography project. Kate wore it again in 2022 for the Platinum Party at the Palace concert as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee honoring her historic 70 years on the throne.

Kate has also worn other styles from Self-Portrait, like to the re-opening ceremony of the National Portrait Gallery and to a reception at Buckingham Palace during King Charles’s coronation festivities.
Meghan also has been seen in Self-Portrait, wearing a red dress by the brand while on her Oceania tour with husband Prince Harry in 2018. She wore the dress when she and Harry arrived in Tonga along with Manolo Blahnik heels.

Last night isn’t the first time Beatrice has worn Self-Portrait even in 2025 alone. For her first outing after giving birth in January, Beatrice wore the brand to a gala dinner for the charity Borne, which seeks to end premature births in Great Britain. The outing was especially poignant as Beatrice shared that Athena was born prematurely and, as she put it in a vulnerable essay for British Vogue, “the uncertainty leaves you with an overwhelming fear of the unknown.”

“It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’ve come from, so many elements of pregnancy are universal,” Beatrice wrote. “I’ve had a life that is out of the ordinary, but my joys and fears in pregnancy and motherhood are the same as those experienced by millions of other women around the world.”
