I live in Bavaria. I received this ticket this morning. I have a locally purchased e-scooter with valid license and insurance (I got it for less than a year) parking in front of our apartment building.
It's parked next to other bikes on the sidewalk. The sidewalk has the protrude area, which has no bike rack, but it is large enough to allow 4-5 bikes to park without blocking the pedestrian walk at all.
I've always been parking my bike there so I'm puzzled why and I don't see the bikes having the ticket so I assume it must be related to city-wide motor vehicle regulations but the city regulations explicitly allow parking e-scooter so long as the "vehicles [are] parked by users in such a way that they do not obstruct other road users."
So I wonder if this happens to anyone else? I also noticed a parking ban for sharing e-scooters during a local festival, but mine is private owned and the festival is next month.
This is the first ticket I received in Germany. What should I do? Go to the city hall and ask?

Usually those stickers are on vehicles without licence-Plate.
Do you have a Licence-Plate on your scooter?
If it is generally allowed to park e scooters on the sidewalk, then take a photo of how your scooter was parked and of the sticker and send an Email to “Ordnungsamt Erlangen” (Google their email) to ask what was wrong I’d say.
A deadline but date is left empty, not signature. Something is fishy. I’d ask the city Ordnungsamt about what’s going on here.
Well your scooter was apparently considered a motor vehicle, and you parked it illegally. Last time I heard a city tried such a thing on motorcycles, which ended in a protest where a few thousand motorcycles legally parked on designated parking spots, which completely blocked all available parking in the city.
The matter was never touched again afterwards.
Maybe they put a sticker on each vehicle there. Those who keep the sticker will be discarded.
Are there a lot of trash bicycles?
IDK for sure but I heard that it happens
No date and signature on that. I suspect a fake.
Your license plate („Versicherungskennzeichen“) is valid for one year, but from March to February. Is yours blue (2024) or green (2025)? This might be issue.
Not valid without signature, if fake its Amtsanmasung and a crime
I know these stickers only for vehicles with no license plates, never as a parking ticket. A parking ticket/fine usually/always comes with a monetary fine. This is normally used if they can’t trace the owners because there are no license plates.
And this is not signed, looks weird.
As you say, check if your license is still valid and inform the Ordnungsamt about it. Seems fishy.
