On the night of May 16, a large-scale fire broke out in the city of Podolsk near Moscow after a series of explosions. According to Russian media reports, the source of the fire was in an industrial zone on Promyshlennaya Street, where a machine testing station is located.

The fire covered an area of ​​over 1,500 square meters. Eyewitnesses reported a column of thick smoke that could be seen for several kilometers and the sounds of repeated explosions. Local sources claim that one of the storage facilities caught fire. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that a car service building was on fire. According to them, there were no casualties.

Prosecutors are considering arson as a possible cause of the fire.
