  1. It might be a strategic blunder for the CCP aligned companies that build the stuff. Less so for the US.

  2. Republicans seem intent on winning the past rather than the future. It’s like insisting that we need to produce more horses to become a net exporter of horses and buggies while ignoring all evidence that the world isn’t going that direction anymore.

    They will cede the energy and transport economy of the future to China because they can’t look up from the oil-stained ground long enough to imagine that we don’t live in the 20th century anymore.
