  1. *sigh*…

WTF did the former Warsaw Pact states even liberate themselves for? For Russian agents like these to get them right back there?

  2. No path forward for Slovenia in Europe so. We don’t want Putin puppets who only want to enrich themselves

  3. Can we just give these ex/wannabe soviet satellites back and rebuild the iron curtain? They obviously preferred it there.

  4. Dude, the level of stupidity!

“The Prime Minister reiterated that he rejects the policy of one obligatory opinion about the “new Iron Curtain” between Europe and Russia. At the same time, he respects China. “I think that China today, as a stable country, shows that there are other ways of governing that are proving to be very economically effective.”

    :DDDDDD

Dear Slovakians! How tf have you guys ended up with this clown?

  5. Thing is, even IF the one Party system would be a better system… people like him make every system shitty.

I hope I. The future we can look back at this mess and those people are remembered in history as the lousy fascist bunch.

  6. GEEZ WHAT A FUCKING SURPRISE

NEXT YOU’LL TELL ME ORBAN MIGHT BE THINKING THE SAME

  7. Slovakians, can you explain? Do you genuinely want a single party system? I have lived in one and I doubt you understand what you’re wishing for.

  8. Puteen is magic: he is able to do ventriloquism from a very long distance /S

  9. Well, slovaks voted for him, so I guess they love his ideas.

  10. **Fico rejects the politics of a single mandatory opinion and calls for reform of democracy**

He describes relationship with the president as normal.

BRATISLAVA. Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer) wants to open a discussion on the reform of democratic political systems, pointing to the “parliamentary chaos” in Slovakia and other European countries.

In this context, he mentioned China as an example of an effective system of governance. Fico made these remarks during the STVR Saturday Dialogues discussion program.

The Prime Minister rejects sanctions against Russia that would harm Slovakia and said he would support a potential referendum on not applying such sanctions.

He declared that he has a “normal” relationship with the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini. On the matter of the pandemic investigation, Fico continues to stand behind the government’s representative, Peter Kotlár.

    **China, Vietnam, Cuba**

Fico reiterated his opposition to the politics of a single mandatory opinion regarding a “new iron curtain” between Europe and Russia. At the same time, he expressed respect for China.

“I believe that China, as a stable country today, demonstrates that there are other ways of governance that have proven to be economically very effective. How can we compete with China, which fulfills its plans, using the style of governance we have in Europe and Slovakia?” Fico asked, expressing concern that Europe may never catch up.

“I am merely calling for a discussion on the reform of democratic political systems based on democratic free parliamentary elections, to put an end to this parliamentary political chaos that is not only present in Slovakia but has spread to practically all European countries,” he said, adding that serious, solid political parties with their own programs should compete.

Fico announced plans to visit Vietnam in the autumn and is also preparing to visit Cuba.

    **Sanctions Are Like a Plague**

Fico also returned to his recent visit to Moscow, where, according to him, he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin about a potential ceasefire and how other countries can contribute to peace.

He believes that the key to resolving the conflict lies in negotiations between Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump. According to Fico, Putin has absolute public support in Russia.

“Sanctions are like a plague, and I reject the policy of sanctions,” he declared, adding that sanctions have hurt Europe more. According to him, Russia has quickly adapted to the imposed sanctions.

He opposes proposals for a new massive sanctions package, especially at a time when peace negotiations are ongoing. Fico said he does not need a referendum to reject sanctions, but if one were called, he would support it. If sanctions are introduced that would harm Slovakia, he said he would veto them.

Fico described his communication with President Pellegrini as “very good and informal,” adding that he had informed him about his meetings in Russia. He reiterated that Pellegrini was elected with the support of Smer but respects his independent position.

    **Lawsuit Against Pharmaceutical Companies?**

The Prime Minister believes that politicians should take responsibility in cases of serious suspicions. He was responding to the decision of the European Court of Justice, which found that the European Commission erred by refusing to disclose text messages between its President Ursula von der Leyen and the CEO of pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. Fico called this a serious failure and a problem for the entire European Commission.

If the Slovak Academy of Sciences confirms that COVID-19 vaccines contain an unusually high amount of DNA or other undeclared substances, Fico said the government would have to decide whether to take legal action against the pharmaceutical company.

According to Fico, Kotlár’s only goal is to reveal the truth about what happened during the pandemic. He sees no reason to remove him from his position and continues to support him in his work.

**New Reactor Can Only Be Built Quickly by the U.S.**

When considering the balance of price, quality, and safety, Russia would be the best choice for building a new nuclear reactor, but given the current political situation, this option is not feasible.

Therefore, the only country currently capable of quickly building a new nuclear reactor is the United States, Fico said in connection with recent talks with representatives of Westinghouse.

“You make a list, set priorities, and ask yourself, quality, price, safety, who wins? Russia wins,” Fico said. “If we were to make such a decision, we would be blocked from doing so. Undoubtedly, they would prevent us. We need to find another partner. We believe that the only one capable of delivering a quick result in this area is the United States,” the Prime Minister added.

Although the government has not yet decided on the supplier or financing model, the Prime Minister indicated that it could be the AP1000 pressurized water reactor from Westinghouse Electric, with a capacity of 1,250 megawatts.

Fico also criticized the European Union’s plan to ban supplies of natural gas, oil, and nuclear fuel from Russia. “At this point, the only strategy on the table is one from the European Commission, which I describe as ideological, political, harmful to the EU’s competitiveness, and likely to increase energy prices,” Fico warned.

The Prime Minister said he wants to coordinate positions on the proposed restrictions with other countries that import Russian fuel. He also pointed out that Slovakia has a valid contract with Russian Gazprom for gas payments until 2035, even if Slovakia stops importing the gas.

  11. I wonder what the people who fought to remove the shackles of the Soviet Union in Eastern Europe think about this?

Disgusting behaviour from a man who has a tiny dick.

  12. EU needs an army and if 90% of member states vote for it, they can legitimately take control of a country, that is undermined by a dictator and remove him and his goons from office and reinstate an actual democracy.

  13. So, let’s close borders (terrestrial and aerial) around “one party” nations. And just wait.

  14. History is a circle, tyranny leads to democracy, democracy decays to tyranny, tyranny leads to democracy, etc.

  15. Our beloved guru who got banned from running in Romania, calin georgescu, said much of the same.

Petition to ban fascists from running for power in Europe? :))

  16. so?! He gets re-elected again. Even after journalist murders and corruption entanglement.

Respect democratic rules! Respect the wisdom of the SLOVAK PEOPLE! 😀

  17. I’m so angry that so many people of S❤️akia are blind, stupid and lacking common sense 😡
I guess it’s the downside of democracy.
    Shame to our beautiful country.

  18. We don’t understand how lucky we are to have liberal democracies.

And we are letting go of them without a fight. If we are this entitled, then we frankly deserve it.

If that’s the case, hopefully they have better education systems in the democracies that come after.

  19. I am now almost certain that KGB has some material on this guy and he’s just a puppet who has to say anything they want, in exchange for their silence. There’s no other logical reasoning behind his statements. And material they have is pretty strong then I believe.

  20. Investigate his financial records immediately. He is a threat to democracy

  21. Cool!

If Slovakia has no democracy, overthrow him and replace him with someone better.

  22. If it’s not clear by now that Russia is heavily engaging with Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia…

God bless that Poland somehow escaped the route of Russian-sponsored wannabe dictators.

Maybe Romania will do so too tmrw.

  23. He should just move where this system is already in place – Belarus or even Russia, why do all the work is Slovakia when he can just move tomorrow and have what he wants

  24. Send him and Hungary out. The EU needs a process for ejecting antidemocratic states.

  25. Single party system can also be a democracy. Number of political parties is not a measure of democracy.

Multiparty system can be just as limiting for the will of the people. Certain ideologies are forbiden in many multi party systems, if you can only chose between parties who represent roughly the same values, then it’s no more a democracy than single party system.

  26. Absolutely guaranteed that all young Slovaks will immediately bolt for Czechia the second Fico does this.

  27. Anyone who thinks China runs an efficient government knows jackshit about China nor the chinese communist party.

  28. the people of Slovakia voted for him, that means that the people of Slovakia approve of him

  29. From a Romanian sister: I hope you will get rid of this scumbag as soon as possible! I visited your country in 2023 and I participated in one of the historical tours. I noticed the struggle that you have and the will to have a better county! I empathize with that and send much love! Stay strong and keep your optimism that better days will come!! 🇸🇰

  30. Romania is gonna have another PM that advocates for this as well if Simion wins and this shit is scary.

We hope the skies will be blue on Monday 🙏🏻🇪🇺
