Electing that piece of shit was dumb as fuck.
Republicans need to impeach, convict and remove him, but fat chance of that happening.
He thinks anything that goes against his opinion is, or should be, illegal. It’s not exactly anything new. He really is the most self entitled crybaby on Earth, right there next to his buddy Musk
How many of these “endorsements” would not exist if Stephen Miller wasn’t actually running things?
The supreme court, regardless of politics, is the ultimate decider of what’s legal or not. We can disagree with a decision, feel it’s wrong, but at the end of the day, their word is final when it comes to the constitution and law.
Fuck this bitch ass old man. 8647
The Magna Carta was signed in 1219 and people like Trump have been complaining *ever since*.
I will never forget or forgive his incompetence and cruelty nor will I forget or forgive the people that support him.
It is illegal because I say it’s illegal. That ideology is totally Trump, and going to bring ruin on the USA
He’s ILLEGAL
Letting Trump stay out of jail was illegal but SCOTUS did that anyway.
You win some you lose some, Mr. President.
He’s literally saying efforts to hold him to the law are illegal.
And that judges–who are the source of determining legality and illegality–are illegal in making those judgments.
Another example of mental decline
I guess in MAGA-land, America was founded on the idea that we really, really wanted a king, an absolute ruler with all the power, that no one could say no to.
Checks and balances have been under test since 2016, several cases including Presidential immunity ruling building up to this and it won’t end here. Unfortunately Alito and Thomas at least are looking to sunset the judiciary in favor of the executive branch.
[Checks and Balances](https://bensguide.gpo.gov/j-check-balance)
The Constitution divided the Government into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. That was an important decision because it gave specific powers to each branch and set up something called checks and balances. Just like the phrase sounds, **the point of checks and balances was to make sure no one branch would be able to control too much power**, and it created a separation of powers. Here are some examples of how the different branches work together:
The legislative branch makes laws, **but the judicial branch can declare those laws unconstitutional.**
The executive branch can declare Executive Orders, which are like proclamations that carry the force of law, **but the judicial branch can declare those acts unconstitutional.**
We need the fairness doctrine put back in place, so that you cannot just openly lie in media without it being subject to lawsuits.
Cable based opinion shows deceptively presenting themselves as news sources, when they never claim to be an authoritative news source when taken to court (FOX) is a huge problem in this country.
For the Trump supporters that are worried about illegal immigration, something that is acceptable to be upset about, you need to get upset at the companies, not the people.
Since the Civil War, American business culture has been addicted, first to slave labor/indentured servant labor, then to prison labor, and then augmenting that, immigrant labor.
When I see Vivek and Elon asking Trump for thousands of Visa applications, and Microsoft and Boeing also seeking tons of visas for third-party contractors to avoid paying benefits, that’s the problem.
If you can’t fix the corporate culture that is addicted to damn near slave labor, you are never going to address the root cause that leads to demand, and the thing that encourages people to look the other way about a illegal immigration.
Let’s say that you support something like the prisons in El Salvador, because you think it’s a deterrent, and it saves us money.
It doesn’t actually save you money at all if the chilling effect it generates also impacts tourism, or fair trade with other countries.
There’s also the slippery slope that you run into if you get rid of something like birthright citizenship, as Trump wants to do.
If due process does not apply to persons, but only to citizens, you have a very bad slippery slope, because all the government has to do is apply an arbitrary criteria to anybody to crush your rights.
This is treason; Donald John Trump is openly committing treason.
There are many pejoratives that can reasonably be applied to some Supreme Court decisions, but by definition, “illegal” is not one of them.
The SCOTUS job is literally to decide and declare what is legal and what isn’t.
The Supreme Court has only themselves to blame for all of this by giving him immunity for everything he does in office. The real question is, will the Supreme Court have the balls to hold anyone in his administration accountable if they follow his illegal orders?
Then their ruling that he was above the law is also illegal.
So… 😏
Amazing!! The insurrectionist, rapist, felon president who illegally invoked the Alien Enemies Act and is illegality deporting immigrants has the gall to say the Supreme Court’s rulings are illegal!! I’m no fan of the Supreme Court. They created this monster. But, the Orange Turd is a total disgrace to this country and to our democracy.
Maybe we should have some type of court that could be the final say on legality. Like a court that is superior to all others…
Sharpen your knives everyone.
