Sikorski: NATO was created to contain Russia. Then we spent 20+ years trying to Europeanize Russia. And it was Russia that decided to abandon all of that and try to rebuild its empire. We will not allow this. By the end of decade, we will be stronger, and Russia will have a terrible hangover.

1. Meanwhile russian negotiators are telling fantasies about fighting a 21 year long war and believing they are scaring someone. While their actual soldiers are attacking with 60 year old tanks and Chinese mopeds.

2. He didn’t finish the story… And then Russia subverted the United States, turning it into an ally and enemy of Europe, and that was the end of NATO.

   For all intents and purposes NATO is dead. Just move on and start working on new European security alliances. Absolutely nothing can be done with NATO with the US remaining as a member. It has zero value as a deterrent anymore because Russia doesn’t believe the US will take any military actions against it. And if Russia doesn’t perceive the US as a credible threat, then NATO is effectively dead.

3. Wanting to Europeanize was a nice plan and all. But it wasn’t a plan that Europe needed to disarm itself for.

5. NATO was created by the USA to use European blood to keep Russia from growing strong.

   The USA has never had trouble with Russia like we have… just money troubles.

6. It is time for Europe to be responsible for its own defence again. There was a good reason for America to defend Europe after WW2 when Europe was on its knees, but that is no longer the case.

   Ultimately it will be a good thing for Europe.

7. Thats a bunch of bs russia has always been a brutal middle ages country ripe with brutality and misery but you all ignored it hoping it would be contained inside its borders…saying western companies turned a blind eye to profit is not a thing to brag about.
