5. I think he should stop trying to be political when he clearly isn’t that well informed, but he did delete the tweet and apologise almost instantly so this really does seem unfair.

9. Don’t care about his political views but do think he’s run his course anyway. BBC coverage isn’t all that great and could do with a shake up. Not much talent out there to replace him though.

10. I’m sure they said he could leave himself, or they’d sack him. You can’t go around tweeting anti-Semitic images when you’re that prominent in the BBC, on such a high salary and essentially representing the company. Whether he knew those images were racist or not, you have to be more careful when you have his profile.

    Why do people struggle to:

    A) not equate the policy and actions of the Netanyahu government with the state of Israel?

    B) not equate the policy and actions of Hamas with the Palestinian people as a whole?

    I really can’t understand why both sides can’t see the immense damage and hurt caused by a basic lack of explanation.

22. He has been warned about his conduct. I don’t know about anyone else but if my employer gave me a warning about discrimination I would research the shit out of that discrimination and ensure I did not remotely pass the line again.
