  1. It’s smart, lots of celebs have gone broke and been left with high cost of living condos and mansions they could no longer afford.

My husband’s grandfather was a millionaire but he lived quite modestly, you would never have known he had much money at all. He didn’t go out and buy the newest model of everything and his house was a medium sized farmhouse. He was still using equipment from the 50s he could have easily afforded to upgrade. And he never wanted for anything after retirement.

  2. Nobody seems to have trouble understanding that she wouldn’t literally have $1 million in her pocket but will get hung up on $1500 rent. *Mortgage! Not rent! Good luck finding a place that cheap!*

  3. I can make my rent $0 if I have $1 million. Follow me for more tips. 😆

  4. Yeah Sydney Sweeney bought a huuuge mansion in LA after euphoria then we all saw her doing random promos and ads to keep up that lifestyle. You can’t just maintain, you have to think ahead.

  5. Keke must have $10 million in her pocket if she thinks she’d be willing to live in a $1500 month apartment in LA or NYC.

  6. Badass. I was looking at apartments in my area. One that’s like 1000 a month looks nice and has a dryer and washer inside.

Honestly wouldn’t mind living there if I could afford it. So I can only imagine how nice a 1500 dollar apartment would look

  7. That is the smart way of doing it. Especially with kids.

  8. Outside of a very elite few (Tom cruise, Brad Pitt), most famous people see their pay decrease as they age. If she wants to build generational wealth, this is the way.

  9. In what entertainment industry city could you actually do that? It would be a stretch even in B or C list entertainment cities like Nashville, Atlanta or New Orleans.

  10. Lotta people mad that she’s not being praised for this but the reality is that folks who are struggling in this economy aren’t all that interested in hearing millionaires talk about money problems.

  11. This is the way, our mortgage is 12.5% of our take home. We were approved for so much more but it would have been incredibly risky

  12. I would fight superman for a chance to match Kiki on a dating app

  13. This is how you keep your money.

I’m in Louisiana. About 15 -20 years ago, we had a HUGE oil boom. People were making big money for a LCOL area and they were living like it too. Huge, jacked up trucks that cost $100k (and that’s not just what trucks cost back then, they were adding on all the features and wheels and tires to make them that much), McMansions on huge plots of land, boats, etc. Guess what happened when all that dried up? Lay offs like crazy, homes going into foreclosure, boats and trucks getting repo’ed….it was ugly and sad.

  14. Where the hell is she finding $1500 rent in LA?

  15. I’m surprised by Palmer’s turn in the past few years. I swore she was a “forgotten” child star.

I hadn’t heard from her since the late 2000s when she was in stuff like “True Jackson, VP” and “Akeelah and the Bee”. Then all of a sudden she becomes big out of seemingly nowhere (at least to me).

  16. She has multiple multiple million dollars homes and luxury cars

  17. That’s a millionaire mindset right there…👏

  18. this is more pandering than smart. if you have $1 million in your pocket, I guarantee you honey you’re not looking at $1500 rent places. Maybe mortgage…but not rent.

  19. In California if you clear 1 million, you’re probably clearing 350k so I love this from Keke!

  20. Her networth is 7.5 million so her rent could be 7500/month at that rate

  21. I remember seein a video of Christian Bale driving a Toyota truck he had for years and people were shocked it wasn’t a Ferrari or some shit. He explained it’s good it’s reliable that’s all I need

  22. On the other hand, if you have absolutely nothing in your pocket rent is still gonna be $1500 (if you’re lucky)

  23. Do you guys know where she grew up? Robbins, Illinois. Where the Help literally lived. I am happy for her. Dwayne Wade is from there too FYI

  24. There are more than enough cautionary tales from actors who had a hit or two then got way overextended by the lifestyle, so good on her for learning.

  25. Where is Keke finding rent in Los Angeles for $1500?

  26. She’s an attractive woman the fact that she thinks this way makes her hot! I wish I could meet her.

  27. Living below your means is one of the most effective life hacks out there.

It works no matter what lifestyle you currently have and helps you feel way more in control of the uncontrollables like emergency expenses.

Some people say “you can’t take it with you!” without realising you also need it while you’re here.

  28. This never made sense to me.

I’m not saying blow all your money, that would be stupid. But if you’ve got tons of money, all you have to do is take enough of that money that, after accounting for inflation, you could live comfortably off the interest. That is now your “never touch” fund. No matter what you do with the rest of it, you’re always going to have enough to live comfortably the rest of your life. Have a little fun! Go on vacation! Give stuff to people you love and to people in need!

Being financially secure is a good thing. Being the richest person in the graveyard isn’t.
