That was me watching coverage on the Australian election results where Diet Trump actually lost his seat in parliament.

Trump, bad for American democracy, but (so far) good for democracy in the rest of the world.
It’s bad enough donnie managed to cheat his way to another victory. Having fewer candidates like him around the world is a good thing. He doesn’t need more buddies with gulags.

I’m still trying to hold onto hope we turn this around. Might take a few years, and I hope we can grind it out. I have a theory that we underestimate the whip away from trumpism might be much more pronounced then we could imagine. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It applies to physics as well as social and cultural dynamics.
Maybe Trump is chosen by God to save the rest of the world.

Here in Australia the Trump lite party was actually going to win according to polls early on, then we saw the shit show that the Trump policies were and they tried to distance themselves from the orange turd, thankfully the damage was done and he got shit on.
Yeah, well “some people think“ that the election was a little fishy and that there was something weird that all the swing states broke for Trump. Also Musk talking about how easy it is to hack the voting machines doesn’t instill too much confidence. Seems to me they knew the fix was in.
