    We are no longer India of Gandhi. We will not tolerate repeated terror attacks and sit quietly.

    It is the duty of any government to respond to such provocations with all means available. Pacifism is not the solution to deep rooted fundamentalists.

    Modi is not doing anything extraordinary by responding to terror, it is what a country must do to protect itself from future attacks.

    It was the past Indian governments that were lacking.

    No peace with sucide bombers.

    Fuck sakes, during the 90s we had buses between the two countries, cultural exchanges , cricket matches. Pakistan was the country who ruined all that.

  16. Something tells me that if pakistan controlled the water like india they would have stopped the water flow decades ago. However if Pakistan stops funding the insurgency in kashmir, I have much more trust in India to work towards peace.

  21. Yes weaponizing terrorism as a tool in conventional war is good but weaponizing water is unacceptable! India please play the “war game” according to our rules!

    India is doing what any country provoked will do, namely use means available to punish without actually going to war.

    And since Pakistan seem hell bent on continuing to irritate India, India will see no obligation to honor the water treaty.

  28. First the IWT itself is an Unfair Treaty towards India .

    Second IND PAK had 4 wars but india never touched this treaty, but currently India’s Strategic patience has finished .

    Pakistan Uses the Nucleur Shield and under its protection uses Terrorism as a state Policy , a proxy war against India and when India retaliates they start threats of nuclear war .

    India tried diplomatically and militarily. but it’s seems US still has some ” Dirty work ” remaining to do using Pakistan that’s why it’s always being protected .

    India has sent many requests to Pakistan since 2022 about changes in the treaty, India needs more water for its own development , India was giving more water to Pakistan in good faith but pak didn’t respond.

    This treaty was bound to go with or without the conflict. But after the Terrorist attack in Pahalgam India put the treaty in Abeyance.

    The country which has weaponised “Religion ” and use those brainwashed Radicals to Kill innocent civilians of another country is telling India to not weaponise Water .

I remember reading a book in which the opening chapter is about this guy in a heat dome that is over a part of India, something about the wet bulb index and people not being able to sweat so it gets even more horrifying. My point is, India will face alot of challenges. From feeding such a large population due to climate change and its unpredictability.

  40. If Pakistan had really won the skirmish of May 2025, enforcement of Indus Water Treaty would have been a pre condition to the ceasefire.

    That it was not shows clearly who approached for the cease fire. Makes you wonder why Pakistan is acting all chest puffed out when they are in no position to bargain.
