I’d rather not take criticism on European social issues all too serious from people who never left America, who only consume American media, who think the entire world runs on American rules and whose idea of diversity is white American, black American, woman American, gay American.

But if you look at the statistics, proportionally they receive the most social benefits but are of the poorest racial groups. Roma have some of the lowest literacy rates in Europe, being some 20% (and percent points) lower than national averages. Only half of all Roma ever graduate primary school, for secundary education it’s some 7.5%.
You have to wonder at what point is it whose fault anymore? No other minority struggles this much, even ones that arrived in Europe far more recently.

Everyone who has ever had a interaction with gypsies hates them. Wonder what the correlation is. For me it was being mugged by one and on a separate occasion them pushing my grandfather over at his stall during a car boot sale.
Things I’ve seen working with gipsies:
-1: most are very nice and have a great sense of humour if they get along with you.
-2: put things in money terms, they’ll understand it
-3: hey teacher, I’m going to ask for (get married with) my 12 year old cousin (this was a 16yo guy)
-4: Teacher my chest hurts, can I go home? (Student who got told not to consume any caffeine because he has some kind of heart issue at 15, drinks a monster every recess, cant go to bed without a bottle of coke)—>asked him if he wants to live to 40, got pretty scared, I think he’s trying to take it seriously now.
-5: Hey teacher can I tell you a story? my dad and my uncle love to get drunk, drive around and steal dogs
-6: Hey my room has that growing on the walls! Wait do you mean moss or mold (showed him a picture thinking it was mold, no it was moss from the humidity).
-7 We have a hole in the living room wall, we covered it with a poster!
-8 Yeah my parents let me play console all day, I go to bed at 6 am.
-9 (same one with moss in the walls and a hole in the living room) My brother just got a new mercedes, and my parents bought me a ps5! (Didnt want to buy him books, school supplies, or a backpack)
These are the most memorable from this year, its very sad because the kids are honestly very nice if you treat them like the rest and you can tell most of the girls want to stay in school, but the parents and the rotten culture fuck them up.
Been told by parents who give a fuck and dont want this shit for their kids that their daughters have to be hidden so they don’t get proposed by their cousins in family reunions. Refusing can mean violent reprisals or being cut off.
It works like a cult, and the kids pay for the parents inability to adapt. I put extra effort into the kids to try and get them to see life from another perspective. I maybe achieve something 4/10 times, but its worth it.

At best, you’ll get rudeness and petty theft, at worst you’ll be cleaning their shit (literally in the toilets and showers), repairing the damage to safety cabinets, and getting threatened and/or actually assaulted. I’m a bloke so can’t even imagine what the sexual harassment I see from them is like. And then get called ‘racist’ when you question their behaviour in the slightest way.
I always try and get off on the right foot of respect and helpfulness, but they always take advantage and betray your trust. When I hear that garbled bastardised Irish accent, cocky arm swaying walk like they’ve got a cucumber up their arse, and shitty haircut their mum has done with a pair of sheep shears, I immediately put security on alert.
