Aleksey Kopyt’ko (former advisor of Ukrainian MoD) has pretty much predicted it yesterday. The diplomacy between RU and US starts diverging into two channels: Trumps own “peace, trade and apple cake [baked with Ukrainian blood]” policy and a harsh bipartisan package of secondary sanctions launched by Lindsey Graham and now having almost 80 votes in US senate – more than Trump could even veto.
Basically its likely a game between putin and US apparatus around trump. Russia is expected to send a demonstration of good will that Trump or Rubio can use to run additional debates and delay the voting on the sanction package. Russia delaying the missile test is one such symbolic “good will” gesture. Whats going on is a good cop, bad cop play from the US govt towards Moscow: better give something to the good cop (Trump) because otherwise he cannot convince the bad cop (L Graham) to put down the baton.
It’s a shitty power game setting up the scene for the planned trump-putin phone call. Nothing more, nothing less.
The more they test their balistic missles, the less scary they look.
The operational capability of Russias nukes and delivery systems is questionable but even if the fuckers had only one then it’s one too many!

Might be many reasons. But i been wondering that despite all nuclear Armageddon threats, they do quite little nuclear tests to back up their words.

In the first year of the invasion I read local news from Barnaul, Altai,
a little bit more west. Some days before and after May 9 short closures
of a highway there were announced. The closed area “Sibirsky” used by the missile troops
there has no rail direct connection. And for the parade the missiles need no cross the highway
before/after the parade for further transport. And this was more than a week before/after the parade.
(In 2022 I had to decrypt all the lingo: ZATO Sibirsky – the closed village, OOO Gorizont
– a gardening company, Serovsky tract – name of the highway and was concerned because it was
long before the parade).

Last year there was in the regional press in Nizhni Tagil something about missile training
and they mentioned that staff and equipment will come from the Altai. (Nothing like this in the last weeks, BTW).
So maybe the rail transport from Moscow to Barnaul took too long and then the transport to N.T. …
In addition the N.T. local press has already articles about fines for barbecue in the forest.
Risk of wildfires. Near lake Baikal there are already huge wildfires. Maybe the ministry for
emergency situations has refused. Less likely because national security, but who knows.
