“walls only keep people out”
Highly observant
This is so fucking British I love it.
“Other people paid for this festival! you peaseants aren’t even allowed to glance at it!”
And yet I’m still unsure if Nat has herpes
Pic 3 should be in r/oddlyspecific
Surprised there isn’t a shop in Brockwell selling pieces of the wall already
Hell yeah. This reminds me of a summer festival where I grew up. They do the “Villa Ada festival” in Rome, in a public park famously known for chilling and smoking weed.. They use some of the outskirt walls of the park to create a paid entrance spot/perimeter. We climbed that wall and watched free music so many times.. I refuse to pay entrance to a public space.
Looks like it’s done by by one person.
Glad to see the classic cock and balls making an appearance
Park life!
Those walks are really fugly. Not just an eyesore, but also militaristic. Horrible
Should see ours for the Radio 1 Weekender festival…….. (Liverpool). I live in Sefton Park and that wall is basically my view.
No graffiti yet though, which does surprise me, as us scousers normally have a lot to say!! 🤣
The way they write the letter ‘y’ disturbs me.
Whose park? SWERVE’S PARK!
Free the Nip!
Tbh, I understand living near Crystal Palace Park for years. The annual closing of significant parts was ok for a little time, but making it longer and longer each year when it’s supposed to be for the local community in the best time of the year to go to the park is pretty irritating. Let alone all the noise that comes with it. I didn’t choose to live near a stadium or arena, but a park(s).
This is amazing. Throw up a wall and it will be defaced. What they’re saying is less important than the fact it is being graffitied
Same handwriting, same person with a few spray cans
Over in another sub a load of bootlickers are defending the council and calling those opposed NIMBYs
haha pp
Finsbury Park gets taken over similarly by huge walls which create huge diversions, let alone the noise from inside.
Then afterwards the park is barren for months. The companies also regularly do damage to trees when putting the walls up.
I was walking through Finsbury Park once a few years ago and some locals had sprayed “Wireless Not Welcome” on the hoarding and the festival staff were just going around and scrubbing off the “Not”
Like the world’s most rubbish recreation of the Berlin Wall
I think this is for Field Day, which is unashamedly happy to be funded by an Israeli corp. It’s being boycotted by many artists and fans 🍉💪🏼🇵🇸
Saw that earlier thought it was a marketing thing by the people performing
What’s the issue with the festival? I know little about it, but I’m certainly in bit favour of more London festivals, (although I disapprove of the extortionately high prices).
I just really can’t be arsed to travel to the butt end of nowhere just for festivals all the time, so let’s make use of our parks!
Where’s Banksy when you need him?
