  1. These aren’t new, and this really isn’t innovation. Like, not even close – everything you see here is existing technology

    Dual touchscreen laptops have existed for 15-20 years (depending whether you count prototypes or commercial releases) and foldable touchscreens for nearly 10

    I appreciate that isn’t identical to this, but it’s effectively the same “innovations” implemented together

    Also this kind of “keyboard” setup really sucks, there’s a reason they haven’t taken off

Tbh you actually need a underpaid peasant to work on these manufacturing plant, i don’t think the average US citizen want to have that. Look at agriculture sector, they still need immigrant for hard labour.

  6. I’ve had a Flip3 and Flip4 and the screen failed on both. I would not purchase something like this till they get all the kinks worked out.

  7. no one wants a touch screen keyboard on their laptop, and 2 in 1 laptops have been around for a decade. I have a samsung notebook that does this I bought 7 years ago.

  8. Just a gimmick those are terrible and impractical and annoying after about five minutes.

    And if that virtual keyboard doesn’t adapt to where my fingers are automatically, i wouldn’t want it.

  10. It’s easy to innovate when you steal absolutely anything you can with impunity and then use literal slave labor camps to drive costs down so much that you can produce the same technology you just stole for pennies on the dollar, without having to do the proper research first.

  22. It’s stupid, because I connect my laptop to a larger screen and then use a keyboard that gives physical feedback so I can type faster.

  28. Looks horrible to use even if it wasn’t foldable, why add that extra complexity and non foldable practically same devices existed for years – I believe Asus is pushing one still, but is trash formfactor anyway.
