Conservation groups on Monday sued the US Transportation Department over approving a license for the Delfin LNG deepwater terminal, expected to be the first offshore liquefied natural gas export project in the country.
The Center for Biological Diversity, the Sierra Club, and the Habitat Recovery Project filed the short unstamped petition with the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit against Transportation’s Maritime Administration over the Delfin LNG project, located in the Gulf of Mexico off the Louisiana coast.
