  1. As a Swede I feel targeted, but I guess theiy’re just envious because we are so much bigger, better, and prettier.

  2. Skämtar om Norrmän, svär åt Finnländare. Danskar skiter man i.

  3. This map is wrong. We Swedes definitely joke about the Danish more than we joke about Norwegians.

  4. What did we Swedes do to deserve this from our neighboors? I mean except hundreds of years of war or occupation. Like poland and the Baltics are still somewhat lowkey pissed at us but you dont see them joke about us /s

  5. This didnt age well with how russia jokes about Ukraine

  6. I’m surprised and it makes me doubtful that USA is not there

  7. I feel like the whole thing should look like an american flag. xD

  9. As a Swede, yeah we shit on Norwegians but not as much as we do on Danish people

  13. I genuinely feel discriminated bring Swiss as nobody seems to make jokes about us.

  15. I simply will not believe that the Scots joke more about the Irish than they do the English.

  16. Idk, don’t we joke about the Danes? There’s a reason why IKEA’s rugs are named after Danish places

  17. Being the big brother of Scandinavia is an ungrateful job

  19. Wait, Norway? Maybe if you ask boomers. But I’ve not heard a “norgehistoria” in like.. 20 years.

  21. Italian here 🇮🇹(men jag bor i norra sverige 🇸🇪🫶🏻), and I did not expect anything different from us 😂.
To be fair we don’t joke about italians in general but rather about people from the opposite side of the country.

**To put it in prospective my house is closer to Malmö than it is to Sicily**. As you can guess the cultural gap is an abyss of difference that leads to a loooooot of struggles in cohabitation. It’s like putting an albanian and a norweigian in the same house and calling it a day, expecting them to cohabitate without friction.
We got to be part of the same country only 160 year ago, definitely not enough time to cover the cultural gap, and we have been speaking a common language (italian) for not more than 80 years which kept the cultural barriers very high (italian was imposed as a common language, but became popular only after the television and radio, many of our granparents still don’t know any italian, and many of us still don’t use it in the every day life, including work).

One of the most common curse we have from both sides of the country is ‘maledetto garibaldi’, which literally means ‘may Garibaldi (the man that unified the country) be doomed’.
