  3. I have heard some AI generated music and it is actually a little frightening. Is it amazing? No. Does it seem to have all the right recipes for poppy happy-making tunes? Absolutely.

    AI may cause real trouble for artists, particularly if it is allowed to steal wholeheartedly from all previous music. Of course it could also result in something amazing. Can’t blame Elton for his concern. We are entering a strange new world folks.

    Hard to do make him suck at guitar more while an equally okay but super enthusiastic worn-out guy plays trumpet while in a sweaty dark bar that smells weird

    Basically the whole thing is feeling and ai will never come close to that

  12. This should be outlawed, anyone caught doing this has to pay the artists every last dime. Make it a completely unsustainable business model.

    This is one of those things that should bankrupt companies that do it. Not just a fine but they lose their shirts. Using AI like this will just destroy creative arts and we will be surrounded by dull and bad copies of everything.

    Training ai on books, images, or videos without permission is stealing.

  15. AI music is scary. I have listened to some great “covers” of artists singing another artist’s song and they’re pretty much flawless. So realistic. The AI cover of Lana del Rey singing Take Me to Church… the first time I listened to it, I thought it was real. It’s kind of creepy, but it sounds perfect. I can’t detect the AI.

    I’d be mad too if I was them. People don’t care about AI right now because they’re stealing from poor illustrators, cartoonists and graphic designers, but wait until your own job is over because they trained an AI app to do that. A whole lot of jobs will be over. Not just creative jobs.
