  1. It’s insane that they even attempted this, considering how important credible deterrence is. And that’s just the rocket. None of their nukes have been tested in 35+ years. I’d be surprised if 10% of them still worked.

  2. If their newer ballistic missiles are like this, can you imagine the condition of the rest of older Soviet era nuclear missile stockpile?

  3. I love corruption, it’s the best deterrence of all. Just imagine the levels of коррупция that exist in a system that has been developed and operating for what 60 years plus, with people steadily stealing everything that’s either nailed or un-nailed down, together with the nails. Imagine that those ICBMs are now just great big empty grey tubes with the very thing inside long gone.

  4. This is fucking hilarious. They wanted to scare a little while peace talks are ongoing

  5. Wow Russia. You are SOOOO scary. They just love threatening the world with their nukes, but can’t even get one off the ground.

Pathetic country. Pathetic leader. Pathetic society.

It is a shame. I know some good Russian folks. But they all left that shithole and live in the states now.

  6. Imagine the sad scenario that nukes were finally launched against NATO, only for the warheads to be faulty and not detonate at all.. How would you explain that?

  7. They manage to launch. It’s going to end up being by accident from defective equipment.

  8. Question from an outsider. How often does the US tests its ICBM?

  9. Ukrainian intelligence said that Russia would launch an ICBM.

    Russia didn’t launch an ICBM.

Is it possible that Ukrainian intelligence might have been wrong, rather than Russia’s launch failing?

  10. So if Russia is so vulnerable right now as most here are suggesting. Why don’t the European countries join the fight already???

  11. You saw it at the start of the war: they are so incompetent.

Problem is, they have so many nukes that even if 90% fails at launch or detonation, if even few works..

  12. Wow. But if you really flex your brains to think about it, nothing should’ve happened when you were promised a deepfake to begin with

  13. And just a reminder, since they used this missile for this propaganda purpose, this is probably one of the ones they were MOST confident were going to work; so the average of the rest of the stockpile is probably much worse.

  14. In authoritarian regimes, corruption isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.

  15. I can see them failing and detonating on their own soil. A dead mans switch running on a commodore 64 from the 80s goes off as the sensors read the explosion going off and they launch it all.

  16. I had a strong suspicion that this would be the case.

Given the state of their mechanized infantry and lack of supplies, I was fairly certain that their nuclear stockpile isn’t well maintained either.

Russia is just a paper tiger. I mean, they couldn’t even take Ukraine, a much smaller and less well equipped military. Putin is all empty threats and bluster.

This is what happens when the “leadership” of a country spends all its time stealing from the people, rather than helping them make the country a better place. It’s pathetic.

Ukrainian soldiers have a cause to fight for: their homeland. Russia’s soldiers are untrained conscripts who don’t even want to be there. They’re under supplied, poorly equipped, and their morale is terrible. Big shock, their army sucks.

Ukrainian soldiers innovate and find clever ways to fight back, holding off a much larger country for years. Russian soldiers keep shooting down their own planes and choppers.
