Princess Eugenie has taken on a major new role linked to King Charles. Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew‘s younger daughter will mentor a group of young creatives selected by the King’s Foundation as part of its new initiative to celebrate the charity’s 35th anniversary this year.
The 35 under 35 is a network of young people working with The King’s Foundation to promote the monarch’s legacy and ethos through their work in various industries, like environmental activism, fashion and architecture. Its aim is to raise awareness of the work of The King’s Foundation and create a network of engaged individuals “who can work together and exchange knowledge across their diverse disciplines into the future, in line with The King’s philosophy of harmony”.
It aligns with a holistic approach to the challenges facing our planet, something that the King has always championed throughout his royal career.
Eugenie, who works as a director at Hauser & Wirth in London, met with a group of young creatives earlier this month at the foundation’s base in the Garrison Chapel in Chelsea and spoke to several of them, according to Hello! magazine.
The outlet claimed that her experience in both the commercial and creative sectors is set to play a “key role” in shaping the mentoring support she offers to those taking part.
According to a source, the princess’s involvement would be “hands-on” and focused on “helping participants grow their personal projects while fostering long-term connections.
The King’s Foundation, formed in 1990, is a charity founded by King Charles when he was Prince of Wales, with an aim to bring about the change the monarch wants to see in the world in a range of sectors, disciplines and levels.
It provides education, public services and consultancy across education and sustainability, farming and agriculture, traditional arts and crafts, health and wellbeing, and architecture and urbanism
The King’s Foundation, first formed in 1990, is a charity founded by King Charles III as Prince of Wales – inspired by His Majesty’s philosophy of Harmony.
Despite Eugenie not being a working royal, her involvement with the King’s charity is reportedly seen as a “meaningful contribution” to the Royal Family’s public work.
