“Mr Ó Broin, the Sinn Féin housing spokesperson, has submitted parliamentary questions asking for the statistics four times in the last two months.
When the results were not forthcoming, he also twice emailed the secretary general of the Department of Housing looking for assistance and finally submitted his complaint to Verona Murphy’s office.
The Ceann Comhairle then engaged with the department but she also found the answers provided to be unsatisfactory.
She is now investigating the matter.”
Our gov lying? No way!

Makes you wonder what else they’ve been hiding. Might want to reevaluate crime and corruption in little ol Ireland
For a country that constantly brags about how much money it has, how come it feels like every single public institution is failing due to not enough money. Housing, public transport, healthcare, education, prisons, gardai, and certainly more, are all struggling due to bad wages, and not enough funding. This is embarrassing.
And what happens when the multi-nationals leave? 20.6% of all government revenue comes from 10 multi-nationals, and this is only the corporate tax, not payroll. If you look at all multinationals and the payroll tax from their employees, it comes to 52.4% of ALL government revenue. This is going to end badly.
It doesn’t matter how many houses they can build annually, but how many they can get connected to the grid/water supply.
What’s everyone worried about?.
I constantly see graphs and tables on here showing Ireland is one of the most democratic countries in Europe/World.
Let’s just trust the info graphs and ignore the realities of life here.
And 70% percent of people trust government statistics?
FFG could not give a single solitary fuck at this stage. They made their alliance, the voters didn’t punish them for it, so now all they need to do is block SF (or whoever) every 4 years. They have literally no incentive to do anything, respond to anything, or change anything. And when the election comes around they’ll pretend they’re rivals again. Rinse and repeat.
We can complain about other countries, but the dumbest Tory gammon, or the thickest MAGA republican, has nothing on the Irish voter who thinks FF or FG actually stand for anything at all anymore.
Well, considering that they did the same when last in power and people voted for the same clowns 🤡 who clearly can’t count and are OK with lying to your face. So the real issue is Fianna Fàil and Fina Gàle. And it’s another 4 years of this misery.
