Hello,

I am planning to buy a car soon. A friend told me he buys cars from Germany for cheaper from dealerships. He sent me a few ones, but what I noticed is they’re saying they’re “For export-only, firms only.” One of them is sold by Autohaus Kuhnert, is it like a licensed BMW dealer? Does the car have problems since it’s selling for so much cheaper than others or do they do “for export-only” cause they don’t want to pay taxes?

TIA

  1. If they sell to individual customers, they have to offer Gewährleistung (a bit like warranty…) for at least one year. There’s no legal way out of this.

So they only sell to other companies – in this case they can exclude Gewährleistung.

  2. For export/commercial consumers to to avoid possible warranty claims.

  3. i dont even understand why post them then

like? if its only for export, why should a normal person even care?

but im unsure if its against the platform rules tho, i doubt these are sites that are for commercial buyers and i also doubt a exporter is gonna use such a site
