Why are Open VLD here depicted like a young fit man and not an older panting pervert

A serious question. As someone that has became Belgian recently but didn’t grow up here (study -> work -> stay) how can I educate myself on the politics to vote wisely in the elections.?
As someone being in STEM field, openVLD looked nice in their page. But bragging about tax reduction on horse ownership is a total let down.
