A Reddit post about a news article about a Reddit post. How many more levels deep can we go?
Disgusting behaviour from a housing management company – how surprising…
I truly hope the original post and follow ups like this make a positive impact for the residents
This is so infuriating. It can’t be legal…right?
can we link to the original post so people have visibility?
How the heck did they think threatening him was the first option they needed to take to fix the problem?

Disgusting they threatened people for posting about disabled stuck without lifts.
Me (and many others) replied to the legal uk post, encouraging them to contact fire service and ask them for an urgent assessment. Others suggested contacting council, MP, adult social services and gave specific laws and regulations to quote etc. Reddit is a lifeline for some people, giving access to advice that is desperately needed in these situations.
How dare the HA threaten them
Honestly fuck the leasehold system here in the UK and those absolute wastes of space that is building management / property management. Bet they charge ridiculously inflated service charges as an additional slap on the face.
I remember that post! It’s absolute insanity that it was allowed to happen in the first place and beyond belief that the people asking for help were threatened for doing so.
>>Yu said he pays £3,500 a month in rent for a 3-bedroom flat – “Kensington rate!” – while Gupte pays £2,500 for a 2-bedroom flat, both excluding bills. “We pay a lot of money to live here”, said Gupte.
That is f**king outrageous!
these flats! https://www.wayoflife.com/search?properties=balfron-tower
peabodys is no better!
alot of these housing associations are scumbags.
just hoovering up money and not doing simple repairs.
Poplar HARCA housing association, aother bunch of cunts. I’ve heard horor stories about Peabody recently too
Question is, should these still exist or be nationalised in some way for the sake of the residents? To see supposed “non-profits” act this way is highly alarming, and I suspect some directors are doing very well for themselves
amazing how they are able to fuck up the simplest thing possible. they would rather double down on being assholes instead of supporting the people that actually PAY for their services. how mental is this
This is wrong on so many levels..
If anyone of the housing association reads this post – go fuck yourself.
I hope it has serious consequences and they are personally held accountable as they clearly failed at their job big time.
