King Charles and Queen Camilla gifted David Beckham a special royal rose for his 50th birthday, just as Brooklyn Beckham reportedly found support from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
David Beckham received a touching birthday gift from King Charles and Queen Camilla, adding a regal twist to his 50th birthday celebrations—despite family tensions surrounding his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.
At this week’s Chelsea Flower Show, Beckham appeared with a rose in his buttonhole, later revealed to be the “King’s Rose,” named in honour of Charles himself. In a moment captured on camera, the King asked Beckham if he had received the royal birthday gift. Beckham replied warmly: “It was incredible, thank you. It was very kind.”
Queen Camilla also acknowledged the gesture during their exchange, telling the football legend: “Nice to see you again, glad you got the roses.” Beckham later described his birthday weekend as “perfect” but “busy”.
The King’s thoughtful gesture came just days after reports emerged of Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz meeting with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their Montecito home. The Duke and Duchess reportedly offered the couple support in the wake of the ongoing Beckham family feud.
Brooklyn, 26, notably missed all three of his father’s birthday celebrations, sparking speculation about a deepening rift between him and his parents. The reported dinner with Harry and Meghan is said to have come at a delicate time, with sources claiming Nicola and Meghan bonded over being portrayed as “home-wreckers” in the media.
One insider told Mail Online: “Brooklyn knows how hurt David and Victoria were when Harry and Meghan accused them of briefing stories about them. David was absolutely furious.” Despite that past drama, it appears the Sussexes extended an olive branch to Brooklyn and Nicola, offering empathy and shared experiences.
According to The Sun, the meeting between the Sussexes and the Peltz-Beckhams was “an unexpected invite” but one that was “gratefully received.” Harry was reportedly “very kind” to Brooklyn, offering “unwavering support” during a time of emotional strain.
Meanwhile, the gesture from the King and Queen highlights their continued closeness with David Beckham, who has long supported royal causes, including as a youth ambassador and advocate for mental health and sustainability initiatives.
