>New CBO analysis: The Republican party-line reconciliation bill would decrease household resources by 4% for the bottom 10 percent, while increasing them by 2% for the top 10 percent. As of 2033. (100 kB)

We see you.
GOP House members facing a tug of war between passing a bill that will end your political career or getting it over with so you can go on vacation til midterms.
House rules, trump drools.
Isn’t that amazing?
Gas Pedal into record inflation where people cant afford anything.
Fire government employees, making the job market trash… leaving many jobless.
Take away health insurance from the jobless.
Not only will this likely kick over 8 million people (or more now) off Medicaid, resulting in many, many unnecessary deaths and tremendous suffering, it will do irrepairable harm to the country. This isn’t a budget bill. It is a remaking of how the government functions giving all power to the Executive.
They are trying hide a lot of unpalatable other changes in those estimated 1100 pages. If these changes are allowed to be included (many of which are simply not allowed to be in a reconciliation bill) it will in all but name make Trump a king. This is the “unsexy” stuff that doesn’t grab headlines, but can really break things.
The only hope is the Senate Parlimentarian throws it out and they don’t just ignore or fire them.
**The “Alt National Park Service” account provided most of this list. I’ve added to it as information has come out. This is not a complete list.**
* Closure of the U.S. Department of Education
* 25% expansion of logging in national forests, bypassing environmental reviews and fast-tracking timber production
* Rollbacks on clean energy incentives, cutting tax credits for EVs and renewables, gutting key climate provisions
* More public lands opened up for drilling, mining, and logging, with royalty breaks for fossil fuel companies
* Withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, ending U.S. participation in global climate efforts
* Executive Order 14215, forcing independent federal agencies to follow White House legal interpretations and centralizing authority under the presidency
* Pension changes for federal workers hired before 2014, cutting take-home pay by raising required contributions, reducing future payouts, and eliminating early retirement supplements
* REINS Act-style regulation repeal, where major federal rules expire unless Congress re-approves them every 5 years allowing Trump to quietly erase protections without rewriting laws *Expanded executive control over agency budgets, allowing the White House to move federal funds internally without explicit congressional approval
* Restoration of impoundment powers, giving Trump the ability to block or delay spending already passed by Congress reviving powers stripped after Watergate
* Creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), placing White House–aligned teams inside every federal agency with access to internal systems and influence over hiring and daily operations
* Sharp cuts in regulatory enforcement, with agencies like the EPA, CFPB, and Labor and Transportation Departments halting enforcement of key safety, environmental, and anti-discrimination rules
* Trump’s personal control over economic policy, strengthening his power to direct tariffs, pressure private companies, and dictate pricing with little resistance treating the U.S. economy like his own business
* Elimination of the de minimis exemption making the cost of goods for low-income Americans and small businesses considerably more expensive.
* Significant changes to SNAP pushing some costs to the states, increasing the age older Americans an exempt from work requirements, and lowerimg the age to qualify as a dependent child from 18 to 7, forcing many single parents to lose access to food benefits.
* Adding burdensome and expensive to manage work requirements to Medicaid and increased eligibility checks that according to the CBO will force an estimated 8 – 13 million Americans to lose healthcare resulting in unecessary death and suffering for Americans.
* Allow the Trump Administration to revoke the tax exempt status of any non-profit organization they deem “supports terrorism”. There is no burden of proof, it is completely discretionary and will be used to punish organizations that stand up to the administration or promote liberal values.
* Dramatically increases funding for immigration enforcement and deportations, including the hiring of 10,000 new ICE officers. Also adds a $1000 fee on migrants seeking asylum, a first in the nation’s history.
* Earmarks $25 billion dollars to initiaye Trump’s “Goldem Dome” missile defense project. The rpject is estimated to cost several trillion dollars.
* Transforms the student loan repayment system eliminating most need based and service related repayment options making it more difficult for borrows to repay their loans increasing the bursen on the nation’s young.
* Reduces federal tax earnings by over $4.1 TRILLION dollars and raising the deficit by the same over 10 years by cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans and shifting burdens to the poorest.^1
This bill isn’t just “big.” It’s a roadmap for dismantling oversight, hollowing out federal protections, and handing Trump sweeping, unchecked control. Read the fine print.

Ugh, nothing in this bill that Trump promised… just whatever the big man baby wants.
They probably worked out a plan of doing this at midnight in the dark and worked the bill to give trump what he wants personally so he could endorse it.
Whoever votes yes on this bill can consider their political career over.
The amount of straight up UN-American shit in this bill is staggering.
If this passes, expect even greater unrest than we’ve already had.
