  1. I also saw adverts for Spain. Not shocked by advertising. But I don’t think that explains the huge amount of votes.

  2. Shocking, the sky is blue, water is wet and blood is red

  3. If you don’t want to vote for Israel, an ad isn’t going to convince you, especially not considering the circumstances.

  4. A lot of people are claiming they actually bought votes or whatever forget one very important thing: there is only one Israel.

That is to say, people everywhere have only one vote to do, while people who, for ideological reasons want to vote against them have 25 other options, diluting any opposition.

  5. That’s just a smokescreen, a pretext to justify the high number of televotes received. In my opinion, though, the result is unrealistic, even taking into account targeted campaigns. Given that every vote generates revenue, and that Eurovision’s main sponsor is Israeli, it’s clear that the EBU will never provide any clarification alleged fraud or data that could undermine the credibility of the organization.

  6. I saw the Ad and knew after two seconds who and why this was being paid for

I meant Israel’s cause it hat that unique blend of self righteousness and victim complex

  7. >Analysis carried out by Eurovision News Spotlight of a[ YouTube account created on April 20, 2025](https://www.youtube.com/@Vote4NewDayWillRise/videos) (%5BArchived here](https://perma.cc/P799-MH52)), with the username u/Vote4NewDayWillRise, published 89 videos between May 6 and May 16, amassing over 8.3 million views on the platform.

8 million *views* is nothing, lol. Especially not when Shorts are counted too.

The real story here is that Israel stil being somewhat popular in Europe doesnt conform to many people’s perspective in their own Insta bubbels. So in stead of admitting they are stuck in a small bubble they just look for reasons to discredit Israels eurovision near win.

  8. From the article:

    > There were also ad campaigns for other entries this year. Social media users in parts of Europe reported seeing sponsored posts for Malta, Greece, Albania, Poland, Armenia and France

  9. Not to be that guy. But dutch radio channels were endlessly promoting the dutch contestant and telling people when he’d be performing. I find it shady too that Israel got so many votes. But this doesn’t explain it for me tbh.

  10. Try posting something here on Reddit that is very midly critical of Israel and see how many Israeli bots downvote you.

They are experts at online manipulation.

  11. From the article: Although promoting a country’s entry is permitted, social media users have raised concerns that these actions may contravene the spirit of the competition.

So they still have nothing on the votes they just hate that israël got 2nd.

  12. This should be so easy to regulate against if there is a will to. Some counties cannot afford to do this and others like the UK (BBC) are not allowed to spend public money in such a way. No wonder some countries can never even get 1% of the votes across the board for songs that are popular.

  13. I really don’t see the issue with this especially since it’s not against the rules. It isn’t like they are paying people to vote for them personally. Nothing is stopping other countries from doing the same and I won’t be surprised if we see more of that happening next year.

  14. Their ambassador to Lithuania had a crashout that Lithuania didn’t give max points to Israel. What kind of politician lets slip of their obvious politicism and goal?

  15. Eurovision is just an indicator of current politics. Not an actual song contest.

  16. Not surprising, and actually expected, kind of obvious from singer selection that Israel approached this one from political angle since start

Also ability to give 20 votes is just fucking dumb, it’s just making lobbying way easier as most non motivated people wouldn’t drop more than one – 20 just opening door for more easier vote manipulations…

  17. Of course this is what happens when you allow people to vote 20 times per payment type and online and mobile phone number. Stupid system meant to get exploited and bring in money.

And this isn’t going to change because it’s the ebu after all. Greed above anything else is the motto of Switzerland.

  18. What a shock the add on my YouTube video wasn’t free ?? and it’s was propaganda??

  19. Why are ads for the Eurovision public vote even allowed?

  20. Nobody’s surprised, my facebook feed is literally filled with Israel good > rest of the world bad. MK ULTRA 2025 edition.

  21. Not sure why anyone is surprised about this. They’re just using the spatula they use to get pro-Israel politicians elected for a music competition because they believe in Israeli supremacy across the board. Can you imagine what they would have done to Palestinians if next year they were hosting Eurovision? They would’ve used it as an excuse to ramp up the genocide.

  22. Wait a minute, all this time I’ve been getting these ads in Youtube I thought it was Iceland promoting their country for Eurovision, and it turns out it was fucking Israel all along? lmao

  23. Maybe there should be regulations about advertising, but it still doesn’t mean bots voted or it was rigged.

  24. I must be genuinely missing something obvious. But why is it completely normalized that Israel is included in Eurovision, UEFA.. etc?

  25. They should be banned for trying to cheat but they should not have been allowed to participate because for one thing they’re not European (Aus shouldn’t be in it either) but also because of you know, the on-going fucking genocide.

  26. Why are they still allowed to compete after bombing Gaza?

  27. The Israeli bots are hard at work… copy & paste answers with zero logic. Moreover, talking as if if they use passive aggressive language l, they look smart

  28. All that is needed is information on how many votes have been made from virtual SIMs.

  29. They can’t win the opinion of war so they’re trying to win by other means. The extreme skew in the televotes suggests that ads cannot explain all the votes: they are using bots to put in televotes.

Also it’s painfully obvious that all the top winners of Eurovision have their songs charting in Spotify EXCEPT for Israel because they forgot to rig the streaming system too.

Also, I can’t wait to see all the empty cans shouting “this is anti-Semitic!!!” in the comments

  30. Israel paying for propaganda abroad?? I for one am *shocked.* Next someone is going to say they even have a term for that!

  31. who gives a fuck, other countries do the same and this is just a stupid singing contest thats been fixed for years now, all of a sudden when isreal wins it needs to be corrected, give me a break, just end this stupid show already

  32. They sure have a fuckton of money to blow on stupid shit
