For a little higher price we would get twice the energy efficiency and many times higher durability.
One of the biggest disappointments with LED lamps is they were suppose to last longer than any other lamp, but in reality from my experience having switched everything in the home over to LED since 2015 from CFL bulbs they don’t seem to have the longevity promised the majority seem to last no longer than 2 years. I thought buying Philips branded ones would provide decent results but they have been the worst barely lasting a year. I’m hoping the megaman brand is going to be better, so far no failure (fingers crossed).
Funny thing is my parents have still got CFL bulbs I was given as school kid in the early 90’s still running fine, they were provided free so we could take them home and get our parents to switch over from incandescent.
