A Pretty good article finally outlining just how screwed we are with population decline. Although it doesnt really touch on the massive workforce gap we will have to endure the data is pretty solid when compared to third party data. Even the government although they will never admit it knows just how fucked we are and was recently outlined when they proposed the idea of keeping soldiers until theyre 65 like it was an innovatove idea.

  1. The country needs foreign workers but the government doesn’t want immigrants. The immigrants they do want they need them to be a servant underclass, Wolt drivers and so on.

    The Finnish government has made cuts towards integration programmes and courses, and they have defunded online Finnish language learning resources.

    Finnish employers in the private sector set absurdly high standards for Finnish language skills where even intermediate Finnish speakers who actually did the integration courses are removed from consideration for not speaking well enough. So they’re shit out of luck.

    Basically nobody is giving the foreign worker a chance here unless you’re a “tech expert” or one of the lucky ones to have a job in cleaning or delivering pizzas. Honestly people are better off trying Germany or whatever.
