>German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht has said that she sees hardly any possibilities left to supply Ukraine with weapons and equipment directly from the German military stockpiles.
Talking to the Augsburger Allgemeine newspaper, Lambrecht said that in order to maintain Germany’s defense capability, future deliveries to Ukraine would increasingly have to be made directly via the arms industry.
>>”To this end, we are continuously coordinating with Ukraine,” she said, in remarks published Saturday. “In the case of deliveries from Bundeswehr stocks, however, I have to be honest, we have now reached a limit,” Lambrecht said.
>The German military must continue to be able to “ensure national and alliance defense,” the minister said. “But that doesn’t mean we can’t do more for Ukraine,” she stressed.
>>>Lambrecht reiterated that she would not give details about Germany’s arms deliveries to Ukraine. “There are good reasons that we have classified precisely this information,” she underlined, pointing out that, “We have done so in response to an explicit request from Ukraine.”
“One must always bear in mind: The moment the deliveries are published in detail, Russia would also have this information. And that alone would have military strategic implications.”

Is Germany planning on another war against someone anytime soon?
Because “defense capability” didn’t seem to be top priority until now.
edit: Note that “supplying from the arms industry” is apparently good enough for Ukraine, but not good enough for replacing anything the Bundeswehr gives to Ukraine. It’s not gonna happen, in other words.
Bull shite ….
yeah german military basically disarmed themselfs years ago. they probably sold more then they bought. they need to produce new weapons and send them to ukraine
Go buy some arms then, and supply Ukraine with that.
I still hope all these announcements from European governments are just a game with Russia while in fact a lot more military eq is being sent to Ukraine.
Maybe don’t announce it if it’s the case…
Funny how anything Germany does is framed negatively these days.
Oh so you contemplated sending IFVs, but now won’t because it would make you unable to fulfill your NATO commitment? Shame on you!
Oh so you empited your stockpiles so that you barely have anything left to send? Shame on you!
Oh so you said you would send old DDR equipment, but delay the supply to weed out malfunctions? Shame on you!
I’m really done with this bullshit.
Germany is a biggest arm exporter in Europe ,don’t Tell me that they reached limit
