   Edit: by the way, but several months ago in my region (spain) I was surprised by the unusually high amount of dying bees on the ground at my workplace (near countryside and fields) after some rains and that made me wonder if some new form of insecticide has started to being used.

8. Any progress made towards protecting the environment over the course of my years, will be rapidly undone by the relentless greed and exasperating obtuseness of one senile old man.

   We will be witness to the most destructive storms, droughts, die offs, contamination, and suffering. All of which has just been set on fast forward thanks to the whims of the most inept human in recorded history.

   Things are going to get _really_ uncomfortable in this handbasket we are all travelling in.

I suppose the bright side to this is that honey bees are actually invasive to the U.S. They are poor pollinators for our native plants and there is evidence that they displace our native bees, which are the ones that are in real danger. They’re fine for agriculture, but terrible for the ecosystem. Presenting honey bees as an endangered animal like jaguars or manatees is disingenuous. They are imported livestock, not wildlife.

   But I mean…still important for agriculture (for better or worse). Which is kinda what we need for food. Ya know, that stuff we need to live. And obviously his cuts on funding for agricultural science (and of course any other scientific department) are bad and stupid.
