I’m so fed up with winter that I am looking to relocate my family somewhere near the equator. This shit just makes no sense anymore.

Don’t be too sad, we have the same weather over here in Sweden. Wouldn’t be surprised if the weather sucked over in Norway as well.

Northern MN here. We have many of your country people and descendants deep within our midst. Some of my closest friends and loved ones among them. I am Swedish myself but have a deep and abiding respect and affection.
Anyway, this gives me new insight into a shared world. It is sunny and gorgeous (for April) here today. But just this Wednesday, in fact the last two Wednesdays, school has been canceled due to snowy and icy storms.
So that’s why the Finns loved Northern Minnesota so much! Best wishes to you from another continent but the same world.

My daughter went out to collect budding willow twigs because she wants to do the witch thing.
When she told me, I just laughed and said, good luck finding any.
You’ve got snow in your sun room, dude
I sure hope it gets warmer there by next month, although I’m used to visiting Finland when it’s cold 😅

Personally I find the best way to react when takatalvi happens is to laugh at it. It is a positive approach to the situation haha
