The most stupid thing about the Belgian flag is that when they asked a woman to sew it, they never specified the order of colours and whether it should show the lines horizontal or vertical. She just did her thing and it was accepted.
The 1830 unofficial flag was horizontal: red, yellow, black.
The colors were written in the constitution but they failed to mention either order or vertical/horizontal.
The new flag got accepted as it came finished from the woman who sew it.
Caesar said it himself, we are extremely stupid and proud of it.
But we didn’t create the US. We didn’t fire Churchill. We didn’t leave the EU. We don’t have a horse for a queen consort. And we didn’t invade half the planet for spices only to eat baked beans on toast.
