Jokes on us, myself and a few neighbours have been calling and emailing the ISPCA since last year to try and sort a feral cat problem and they’ve done absolutely nothing to help.
My cat is insane but I couldn’t be without her.
They basically described my cat! 😂
I can fix them 🥹
The narrative of cats not being compassionate is total bullshit and was no doubt started and spread by dogs.
I have a cat just just like this. Lives outside and very vocal when she wants food. Can usually only be seen judging you from a height. She is never to be touched. I love you, Biscuit.
Tbh this appeals to ideal cat owners – those who know the personality of your average cat and adores them for it. This is a great ad, because you’re not setting up people for disappointment and inevitable returns, you’re setting them up, at worst, for ‘exactly what was advertised’ and at best, a happy surprise. Cats are independent little arseholes and we cat-lovers LOVE them for it.
you don’t own a cat, the cat owns you.
There is a new short episode of love, death and robots called the Other large things in Netflix about a cat’s perspective. Sums up everything about cats like this.
I’m missing the joke here.
They just described all the shitty attributes that cats have in an effort to get more people to adopt cats?
…and eat all voles and hamsters in a mile radius.
Ah yes, I have one like this. I see her in the morning and again at night for food, plenty of mice delivered and occasionally affection, when she feels like it. She has the full run of the house but prefers being outside.
Pretty sure she was feral or found on the side of the road but the pet sanctuary never told me where she came from. Ah well, they’re not getting her back now.
This is fine, plenty of farms/small holdings with nice warm hay sheds would provide a great home for these type of cats to keep rodents down, my neighbour has rehomed a few on their farm over the years who lead great lives . They may allow the odd head scratch from time to time , they may not. The cats are content as fuck though.
I love cats. They wake up everyday knowing they are perfection.
Absolutely brilliant and spot on!!
I feed a stray cat – she used to hide from me when i was putting out food (despite the fact that she came up on the window meowing for it!). Now she follows me around like a toddler whenever i do anything outside.
And she’ll sit in my lap, with her fecking claws dug into me (??), purring like mad.
Some cats do be like that
My kitty started life on a farm, but wasn’t cut out for farming life. Now he enjoys freshly washed bed linens, fine dining and is head of Neighbourhood Watch on our street.
I have two of these ( live beside a farm ) who have decided I must feed and water them and in return they turn into ninjacunt scare assassins every time I leave the house bastards!
Cats have not forgotten that the mighty Egyptians revered them
