CHISINAU (Moldova), May 21 (SeeNews) – Moldova’s industrial production fell by 2% year-on-year in the first three months of 2025, as output in the manufacturing sector decreased by 4.1%, the National Bureau of Statistics, BNS, said, quoting seasonally adjusted data.

According to unadjusted data, Moldova’s industrial output declined by an annual 1.2% in the three months through March, the statistical office said in a monthly update on Tuesday.

The first-quarter output of the mining and utilities sectors grew by an annually adjusted 14.3% and 0.2%, respectively, but the gains failed to offset the dip in manufacturing.

In March alone, industrial output edged up by an adjusted 0.3% on the year and an unadjusted 0.1%. BNS provided no month-on-month comparison.
