Add in the effects of tariffs and loss of Medicaid and suddenly it’s a net loss.

This is why need to suppress voter ID, pump in migrants like Biden was doing 10k a day. Get those people to vote. Stop this Trump madness. We literally have a King and no one is taking up pitchfork yet. It’s insane to me. Biden tried helping us but it’s too late now.
We will never have another election. It’s not just me saying it. When an average person like Oprah tells you that you know it’s already over.
No wonder the rich voted for him and donated so much money to him.
Congratulations, non-voters and third party voters
Consider yourself dumb if you don’t think money is the only religion in the US.. There is no systemic racism but a clear-cut systemic hatred towards poor people
I’m mean… everybody’s taxes are getting cut.
Per google, the top 10% of earners paid 75% of federal taxes in 2022. This was after the 2017 tax cuts, which were made permanent in this bill.
I’d love to see a view that accounts for that. Saying the bottom 20% of earners are only receiving 1% of the benefit is a bit arbitrary if they are only paying 1% of taxes paid — which is probably true. Bottom 50% paid 3% of taxes in 2022 per google.
I’m not a fan of this bill, at all, but this seems like an image to drive anger from people who would be angry no matter what.
We need to cut spending, massively. We need to increase revenues, massively.
Neither of those are popular.
I’d punch a hole in the wall but I couldn’t afford to fix it. Or the hand I used.
The name of the bill should be in quotes at least. Better yet, call it by the more accurate “Big Bad Billionaire’s Bill.”
Well tax cuts benefit the people who pay taxes.
The top 50% pay 97% of all the taxes.
The top 25% pay 88% of all taxes.
The bottom 50% pay 3% of all taxes.
So this graph makes sense that if taxes are cut in any way the people who actually pay taxes benefit.
This graph is an example of how statistics are used to mislead people who don’t know how to do the math.
it’s been the publican way for decades feed the rich screw everyone [else](https://imgur.com/PsP8XZE) no surprise here
Is this single or household income?
I am having a hard time the “benefits” part in the tax cuts.
In a simple example I am thinking, someone makes $1m in income a year and let’s say their taxes are net cut by 5% overall, that’s $50k back in their pocket.
Someone making $20k a year would see a $1k back in their pocket at 5%
Of course, the nuance here is that taxes are not the same across the board. First, there are income brackets to consider, and also, most tiers don’t have to think about capital gains taxes or estate taxes.
My thought is rather than percentage…what is the dollar benefit.
Because in that thought, the bottom of the bracket would see more like $50 back in their pocket due to progressive taxes.
But the top? It could be like $200k back in their pocket depending on WHAT is taking the tax cut for that $1m income earner.
And that is the devil in the detail here…the tax cuts at the top are so MASSIVE in dollars, that they HAVE to cut Medicare and other stuff.
Also, the hell did DOGE go? All those savings and Medicare gets cut? It’s almost like it was all bullshit.
what a shame..will just contribute to the national debt which I thiught they cared so much about? It’s all about cutting taxes for ultra wealthy
Share of tax cuts should be overlaid with share of taxes paid. If billionaires aren’t paying taxes then how are they getting tax cuts?
Lol my fiance and I are in the “richest 20%” but we live in LA and can’t afford a house less than an hour from work and/or in a dangerous area.
You would think America has a government by the people for the people…. Trump is president by and for the rich. “Capitalism a love story” by Michael Moore is worth watching.
