  1. I feel like this would happen even if Musk didn’t go full Nazi simply because BYD makes better cars.

  2. It’s what happens when you focus on Trump polotik and not improving your product. BYD has made steady progress over years, their value to performance proposition is far higher than Tesla’s now.

  3. Buying things from China is a bad idea. It’s just as bad as buying things from Russia. Does Europe not remember how Russia used gas as a weapon to blackmail Europe into not supporting Ukraine? China will do the same thing when it invades Taiwan. Everyone needs to boycott China. Stop funding their tyrannical regime, the oppression of the Chinese people, and the invasion of Taiwan. I’m not saying you should buy Teslas. Boycott Tesla too because Musk is a nazi. There are lots of other EV companies out there. Tesla and BYD are not the only choices.

  8. Can’t wait for byd seagull to hit the streets in Europe. We need less humongous big luxury EV’s and more small practical EV’s.

  9. Fun thing, that doesn’t even mean that BYD does well in Europe, just that Tesla is absolutely terrible.

  11. Elon fumbled the bag so hard he let a Chinese car company beat him at his own game. Maybe if he spent less time cosplaying as a free speech warrior and more time improving Teslas, Europe wouldn’t be moving on.

  20. Not surprising, just had a BYD Salmon/Flipper thing as a courtesy car for a week due to my car needing work.

    Great little car, very well equipped and a decent drive if a tad heavy like all EVs.

  31. And if eu manufacturers don’t pay attention byd is going to eat their lunch too. Low prices, lots of equipment as standard, no nickel and diming for extras and most importantly readily available stock no 6+ months of waiting time.

  34. And of course tesla is up 3.4% right now. There must be a lot of money propping up this stock as there’s no parallel universe where it is worth this much.
