I didn’t get the Van Ranst hate he received during the last 2 years since he’s a virologist, but suddenly (now that covid isn’t the most talked about topic) he’s also a Russia expert who seems to know exactly what Putin thinks and why he does things?
The title made me assume he was going in a different direction with this.
For those too lazy to read the article: He’s not saying Putin is correct in saying Ukraine needs “de-Nazification” but rather, he’s comparing Putin to Stalin.
I cringed at first but it’s not a bad piece actually. Just mentions to keep a bit of sovjet-history in mind (May 9th) and to “look out” for that date. Also doesn’t say Ukraine is in need of “denazification” as the title might imply at first.
Good to see Van Ranst has more free time again.
