Russia could have peace at any moment. It’s up to them. Russia could have had peace this entire time. But right now, Putin cannot afford peace. It would be the end of him. Every day of war is another day he is able to stay in power. He has made this conflict existential for himself.
The Russians have *never* wanted peace as the civilized world has understood the concept ever since their official foundation as “Russians” in 1547 with the self-coronation of Ivan the Terrible as the first Czar of “All **Russia**” instead of just the Grand Prince of Muscovy.
[Has it been through peace](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territorial_evolution_of_Russia#Table_of_changes) that a rabble of East Slavic bootlickers native to the swamps along the Moskva river on the northeastern fringe of Europe can justify their genocidal self-entitlement to a “true” motherland which hogs 11 time zones from the Baltic to the Pacific?
Our understanding of peace is offensive and even “unjust” to the Russians because it works against their identity as guardians and enforcers of a vile perversion of peace which is in turn is just an imitation of Pax Моngоlіса. It is one in which we in the civilized world are now to kowtow to the oh-so-benevolent Russians with their Czar / Czarina / General Secretary / “President” who squats in Moscow instead of the Great Khan in his yurt at Karakorum.
Step one, get rid of Trump and the russian assets in Washington.
OK now we need other news sources to say this. I know the army needs a break but the narrative has to switch to bullets, this was a half baked pipe dream from our asshole president.
