  1. How far they get after nuking Medicare is going to tell us a lot about the the next few decades

  2. Why? It doesn’t kill enough poor folks and minorities or enrich enough billionaires?

  3. Can’t fool me into believing republicans have any spines or integrity.

  4. I read this article every time, and every time they just pass it and don’t look back.

  5. Collins and Murkowski “raised a red flag”. That means they’ll 100% vote for it.

  6. >Ron Johnson of Wisconsin
    >Rand Paul of Kentucky
    >Susan Collins of Maine
    >Lisa Murkowski of Alaska

Remember those names, when they inevitablly all vote yes

  7. They’ll vote for it anyway. They’ll make some changes I’m sure, but the time to deal with this was in November.

  8. Yet somehow, their “alarm” won’t be enough to keep them from voting for this disastrous bill.

  9. They sounded the alarm yesterday too – and still passed it.

  10. Alternative headline: “Republican Senators scream ‘BUT WE WANT BIGGER BRIBES’ before sheepishly selling out the country, again.”

  11. The real challenge is can the reconciliation of the Senate and House bill pass the house again? If Senate makes any changes, those freedom caucus votes are gonna freak

  12. Theyll pass it 51-49. Collins and Murkowsky can brow furrow.

  13. Collins and Murkowsi being the deciding votes in 3…2…1 “I spoke to the president and he assured me….” 6 months later. “If I knew he wouldnt keep his word….”

  14. Looking forward to virtually all rural hospitals in the country all shut down or convert to procedure/surgery centers (a la Prime Healthcare), and urban/suburban hospitals overloaded with rural transfer patients before they inevitably collapse as well. It’s already happening without this idiotic bill, but now it’ll be accelerated.

  15. I have zero doubt it will pass. Republicans will do republican things. Collin’s will yell about how bad it is, then vote for it anyway. Paul will shout about it being a horrible, then make an excuse for why he voted for it.

  16. Collins and Murkowski will be “deeply concerned” right up until the point they vote yay

  17. If Republican Senators all vote for this bill, they might as well say goodbye to being reelected. The majority of their constituents that are on Medicaid are in red states. Voting for this is a sure fire way of them not being reelected. I hope they know what they are doing.

  18. >The bill touted by Trump is a key avenue for Republicans to push forward his agenda after his decisive election victory in November.

He did not have a decisive victory. More people votes against him than for him.

  19. Republican Senators sound the alarm about the bill **they will all vote for anyway.**

*Stop me before I kill again!*

    -Sen. Mitch McConnell

  20. > When asked by reporters what the ideal deadline would be to get the bill passed and if it’s realistic by July 4, Thune said, “That’s obviously been the goal and aspiration; we’ll see how it goes. What does it take to get to 51?”

Translation: They don’t have the votes at the moment. If you live in a state with a GOP senator, keep calling the senator’s office every day

  21. I have zero faith in any republican to do the right thing

  22. I’m tired of these “sounding alarm” headlines. They’ve been saying this since trump first won.

  23. It literally slashes Medicare, which Trump claims he’d never do/allow. His plan is just to lie and claim it doesn’t cut Medicare, and have his supporters believe him, only to find out in a few months that he fucked them in the ass, again, and then he’ll blame it on Biden and his supporters will say “thank you Trump for fucking me in the ass, yes it is Biden’s fault”.

  24. I feel like this is that episode of office where Dwight lights everything on fire and then sounds the fire alarm

  25. They will pass the bill. Do not listen to their bluster.
