  1. Members of Britain’s Jewish community have called for “firm action” to crack down on anti-semitism in the UK after [two Israeli embassy staff members were shot dead](https://inews.co.uk/news/world/two-israeli-embassy-staff-shot-dead-jewish-museum-washington-3707972?srsltid=AfmBOopGTxXHzPQYsnQoO7IEkYwanPg6TqWrQCyv_t-rlQ8xxCbRpGc8&ico=in-line_link) in Washington DC.

There has been a huge surge in anti-semitic incidents in the UK since the [7 October attack](https://inews.co.uk/opinion/my-grief-as-a-jewish-person-can-never-be-used-to-justify-the-destruction-of-gaza-2690212?srsltid=AfmBOopoGErKF2rZaCERwPtM5Oh_FJvt_ftcs-DIsiqiH1Dzf3G6UfI9&ico=in-line_link) on Israel, with 2024 and 2023 seeing the two highest-ever annual numbers of reported hate crimes against British Jews.

On Wednesday, Israeli couple Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim were murdered outside the Jewish Museum in the US capital by a gunman who reportedly chanted “free Palestine”.

The killings come amid rising international condemnation of the Israeli government’s military campaign in Gaza, and the United Nations has warned of a humanitarian crisis there.

Scotland Yard has urged the UK’s Jewish community to stay “vigilant” in light of the attack.

UK-based charities, schools and universities told *The i Paper* their security measures have increased significantly since the 7 October Hamas massacre.

Many are now concerned the Washington DC double killing will only fuel already rising anti-semitism, and in turn, force them to implement even more severe security measures.

The Community Security Trust (CST), a UK charity which issues security advice to the Jewish community, condemned the “terrorist murder of two Israel Embassy staff”.

“This kind of terrorism is a global threat to all Jewish communities…it is the reason why there is so much security across the Jewish community in the UK,” a CST spokesperson said.

“CST will continue working tirelessly with the police, government and other partners to enable a safe, proud Jewish way of life in this country.”

It is understood that the charity’s security measures have remained at a very high level ever since the 7 October Hamas massacre.

Earlier this year, a site for Jewish student university accommodation applied for planning permission to boost security.

In its request, the site asked for council approval for a fence and security gates after a “huge surge” in [anti-semitism](https://inews.co.uk/topic/antisemitism?ico=in-line_link) on university campuses.

  2. To the people whose religion is Judaism: if you feel unsafe, you have zionism to thank for this.

  3. Zionists do not speak for all Jews and the equivocation in articles like this is insidious.

The problem is Israel carrying out a genocide in the name of Judaism – it’s *not* the democratic right to peaceful protest

  4. The blame lies with ‘Israel’

The Zionist faux state has deliberately conflated all Jews with the violent colonial regime currently illegally occupying Palestine and commiting genocide

  5. There is a genocide taking place in Gaza thousands of children murdered. Thousands of mothers murdered, thousands of fathers murdered, thousands of grandparents murdered. Millions now are starved of food and drinking water. What is going on in Gaza is straight out of the SS handbook. Here is another crime by Westminster politicians. 3/4 of Labour party MP’s , Ministers, the P.M. 3/4 of the Conservative Party MP’s are all individual are paid thousands by the Israeli government through Westminster lobby. It’s never written about by main media news. That is Genocide bribe by our elected politicians it must stop. But it’s ignored.

  6. I don’t blame them, they’re not safe and its sad that in our great country who stood up alone for a long time, who fought and beat the Nazi they aren’t safe.

  7. They don’t feel safe yet they’re happy for them to commit genocide ..

I am far from being a free free Palestine type ..but my god ..you can’t kill all people in a country ..just because the USA and Israel wants the land.

You’d think the Jewish community would understand the concept that they are inflicting on other people

  8. The skeptic in me cannot rule out that it is the zionists who spread these kind of things to alienate any valid criticism of Israel. E.g. They spread propaganda that weekend marches for Palestine is London were “hate marches” and no go zones for Jews. They would go and make a mess and cry that they were harrased. Look no further than ” The settlers” by Louis Theroux to see the modus operandi described by Daniella. She pushes you and you push back and they record and play the bit where you push back and then she can say it was antisemitism.

  9. Maybe don’t call any Israeli criticism Antisemitism. Then we can start working out ways to feel safer.

Because Israel are using the guise of calling everything Antisemitism to avoid any criticism of the genocide they are doing.

  10. Highly reccomend people do a deep dive in to the past and the type of work conducted by these two ‘victims’ lmaoo.

  11. No one in Britain feels safe nowadays, kid with balaclavas on street corners, machetes everywhere. Join the club.

  12. Then don’t support a genocide lol it’s like when you’re being cyber bullied if you don’t want it just turn the computer off

  13. These stories are true unfortunately and not taken seriously, especially in London. A friend of mine who was Jewish (Not Zionist) moved from London to Israel a few years back for these same reasons of not feeling safe.

He was sadly murdered on October 7th by Hamas so anyone saying these concerns are fabricated, I can assure they are not and for the record I’m not Jewish either.

  14. Standing against Israel and hating Jews are vastly different things. I can voice my dislike of Trump, it does not mean I’m anti American.

In 18 months, Netanyahu has absolutely dissolved the protected status of Jewish people on the world stage.

  15. Are these the same British Jews that serve/have served in the IDF and possibly committed war crimes?

  16. I’m a simple man. I’m against the mass murder of children. If your side is mass murdering children, that tends to make you the bad guys, whatever race, religion or creed you may be.

  17. When the fuck will people realise that *criticism of a state is not criticism of a race or religion*

Criticism of Israel is not antisemitic.

  18. I don’t blame them, sadly. We’re becoming an island of strangers and some of those strangers have come to these shores with hate in their hearts and zero tolerance for others.

  19. I don’t understand, a gun killing in a different country, a country KNOWN for gun killings, make you feel unsafe in the UK?

That’s like UK school kids feeling unsafe after America has yet another school shooting.

Oh and by the way, one of the Diplomats was a German Christian converted to Judaism much later.

  20. Israel’s actions are despicable but blaming all jews for that is like blaming all Labour voters for the disaster that the Conservatives inflicted upon the UK, despite us all voting against them.

Not all Jewish people support Israel.

  21. Israel a settlement with a 3,000 year history that began in 1948. After most countries refused to take the Jews after the war, including Britain, Lord Balfour gave them a part of Palestine because Britain were occupying it at the time, he was a Christian Zionist and succeeded in making the world a darker place, with a gift of land that wasn’t his to give and the rest is a grotesque history.

  22. Criticising the actions of the State of Israel is NOT anti-semitism. Many jews are against what is going on. Zionists are a subset of jewish people…There is definitely a rise in anti-zionism. Curiously the orthodox jews depicted in the image would be most likely to oppose what Israel is doing…
