Spain versus South Korea? Siestas not suicides. Lol.
It would become a powerhouse where all the fun has been sucked out of life, just like Northern Europe or Korea
It’s not a good trade
I believe South Korea is more focused on having no capita
I think it works so well because they don’t want to work. They live and they happen to work but they aren’t obsessed with it like South Korea, the US, or the UK.
Bank Holiday Friday and I am in the public sector
Going to give Pedro’s attitude a go today and see how it goes
Imagine Spain being superpower again then.
Go ahead and push for it OP. If you get a civil war started you can sit out the upcoming WW3.
Thanks to tourist money
Being Balkanese, I absolutely love this.
We don’t need to imagine. Spain is resting from colonizing the majority of the America’s.
Tbh, I would much rather live in Spain. There’s more in life than slaving away for your boss.
Imagine working 50-60hr weeks and worshipping your boss like a god only to be surpassed by people who work 20hr weeks (if they feel like it)
Enhorabuena Pedro! Koreans underestimate the power of a well-timed siesta
Adjust it for purchasing power and SK is still $10,000 higher per capita.
And both still won’t have kids.
You don’t get it. The Spanish guy shown is working remotely using VR goggles.
Imagine spending your like at work, getting your joy by closing deals and getting uber-wasted on saturday night to feel a bit alive.
I’ll take the spaniard way thanks. I don’t believe in any form of eternal life so I take care of mine.
Massive achievement.
Spain will soon lead PIGS to GDP victory over GUNS 😤
its hard to be productive when all your brightest youth are either committing suicide or getting addicted to online games
Sorry, about that “work” concept you mention, does it involve any standing up or any kind of effort? Is it safe?
I’d take Spain over the hellscape on the right personally.

I refuse to believe this obvious crap.
you need to what?
I bet the DUNGS are jealous. Good weather, good food AND good economy? Boy, I’m moving
We work more hours, on average, than Germany and Nordics, so I don’t know what are you talking about.
South Koreans are really, really, reaaaally inefficient workers. Probably because they are soul dead from sitting in front of computer whole day. They produce worth of 49$ per hour, spaniards make 68$ worth of goods per hour. Japan also sucks with 53$.
Post-communist countries like Poland will soon be taking over them with them already being at 49$.
Its a bit like with slavery, unlimited exploitation is enemy of optimalisation. Without labour constraints you lack motivation of how to do things smarter, not harder.
Why do people want to ‘run an economy’ so badly anyway? Waste away your lives working for what? Especially if you already have tapas and olive oil.
Maybe it makes me an outcast in my society, but I’m with the Spanish on this one.
Spaniards: Only do what they need to do in the shortest time possible to get back to sciesta
Koreans: Boss wants everything to be redone for minor problems and as good cooperate slave they gonna spend the next 17 hours straight to fix it, barely holding on to being awake, to be rewarded to be rewarded with more work. This all van stretch the process of 1 letter to 17 hours.
