  3. No, that’s a Ring-Necked Pheasant.

    You are more likely to find Red Grouses up in Moorlands than you are to find one in the middle of Edinburgh

  4. It’s 100% a pheasant, you’re pretty unlikely to be getting red grouse on Arthur’s Seat. They are smaller, much shorter tail feathers and more russet red all over without the dark green head cap.

  6. That’s a male pheasant. If you ever see something similar but a soft brown colour without the red on the neck then that’s a female pheasant.
