This is actively misleading of RTÉ to be tweeting this now. It’s not *news*. Ukrainian forces pushed the Russians out of the Kyiv region a week ago.
It’s normal to save non essential news for the weekend. Stop trying to make a big deal out of nothing.
I’ll add and I don’t know if it’s the case here, but it’s better to wait and verify rather than go straight in.

The Reeling In The Years episodes covering 2020, 2021 and 2022 are going to be pretty intense.
To be fair the licence fee has been the same price since before twitter was invented so any twitter feed is a bonus really.
The TV license is so there staff can enjoy yearly salaries in the hundreds of thousands, don’t fool yourself, that’s its only purpose
That plane was destroyed in the first few days of the invasion. They have a second one that’s sitting unfinished in a hanger somewhere.
It was basically killed on the first night but to put a news angle on it they may have official confirmation from the mayor or whatever but RTE’s Twitter game is world leadingly poor so you can be sure the story is as disconnected from the tweet as can be.
To be fair, not sure there was picture evidence of its destruction until now (open to correction)

Before the downvotes, propaganda is a tool used in war for centuries. Its used to boost moral amongst other things and is extremely effective. It would be completely foolish for the West or Russia not to use propaganda considering its effectiveness.
Got to see that once. Flew into the airport near where I live. 747s are big…that thing was enormous. Just kind of lumbered through the sky, almost seemed like it was going too slow to stay aloft but it still went. When they took off they had to run the engines at maximum power for 5 min with the brakes on. If they didn’t lose an engine they would go. Insanely loud.
Fog of war , probably tending on the safe side and waiting until everything is absolutely confirmed before posting because the alternative is posting everything as it comes in, 10% is false and then a national broadcaster is stitched up as reposting fake news.
Difference between Joe soap posting and a government body . But yeah it’s a bit old I suppose.
Ukraine has the wreckage back. Estimated 3B to rebuild. Ukraine Also has Chernobyl nuclear power plant back. Russian idiots dug up radioactive earth and lived in trenches. Some of them won’t live a year now.
I went to see it take off in Shannon in 2020 delivering PPE.
