ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Business Journal this summer will relocate from downtown St. Louis to an office near Forest Park.

The publication is moving to a 3,954-square-foot office at 1001 Highlands Plaza Drive in the city’s Cheltenham neighborhood. Its seven-year lease begins Sept. 1. Altus Properties owns the building.

The news organization’s 20-person staff has worked for the past two years from a 1,000-square-foot temporary space in Spark Coworking St. Louis, based in PwC Pennant Building downtown at Ballpark Village. It had spent the prior 18 years at a 7,319-square-foot office at the Old Post Office, 815 Olive St., under a lease that will expire in February 2026.

“Addressing the safety concerns of our (Old Post Office) lease arrangement, we made the move to Spark St. Louis at Ballpark Village over two years ago,” said Robert Bobroff, market president and publisher of the Business Journal. “While we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time at Spark, this coworking space was always meant to be temporary for us. Although we were pursued by landlords in the county, our aim was to keep our roots planted in St. Louis city as we are committed to its future.”
