  26. A fully US made iPhone would require US made displays, RAM, CPUs, modems, sensors, glass, and cases that are US made. Nearly none of that exists and it would take years to build the factories and train those who work would there. And that doesn’t even count the metals and rare earths that need to be imported. Once Tim figures all this out then we can talk about manufacturing them here. Maybe around 2030. So yeah, India for now (and probably US never)

    Like 50% of current US manufacturing jobs are vacant right now. We can’t even fully staff what we have. We don’t have the people. And we are anti-immigrant.

    So we are paying tariffs for jobs we don’t have and can’t possibly support.

  37. Even with 25% tarifs the iPhone wold still be cheaper not being made in the USA. 

    It would be far less competitive.but I’m sure south Korea’s Samsung would have no problem increasing their market share instead of America’s Apple corporation. 

    More jobs for South Korea.
